The Hastings House is a remarkable place, we just did a profile of the Zagat reviewed lodging on MySaltSpring.com. Please check it out next time you are coming to Salt Spring Island.
Sorry I don't recommend any wedding plans in the heart of hurricane season! I've been in the eye of them and have covered them in my forecasting career and have seen the damage first hand. If you are planning to do so listen and obey the authorities when they tell you to leave. No matter how disapointing it is. We can help you track your wedding weather to help you prepare. We also have a fun item for outdoor weddings called The Weather Bouquet.
