An Inflatable Archway For Your Outdoor Wedding

If you've seen my wedding pictures, you know that I had a giant inflatable lobster at my outdoor wedding. If only Oriental Trading had offered this Giant Airblown Wedding Archway back then... our guests would have really been amazed. Although it isn't the most elegant option, if you're planning a fun and casual outdoor wedding, this illuminated, inflatable arch might add a whimsical touch to your celebration. At $79.95, it's fairly affordable, and it comes with its own tethering system and electric-powered blower (yes, you'll need access to an electrical outlet). Best of all, you can blow it up in your backyard any time you want to renew your "I dos."

The Running of the Brides

As you know, I advise outdoor brides not to overspend on wedding gowns. What's a girl to do, though, if she really wants a designer dress? Buy one cheap! Mark your calendar for the upcoming spring wedding dress sales at Filene's Basement stores: February 3 in Columbus, Ohio; February 17 in Boston; March 3 in New York City and March 10 in Atlanta, Georgia. Before you participate in the "running of the brides," read my 10 tips for finding a bargain bridal gown at a Filene's Basement wedding dress sale.
