What a Difference 15 Minutes Makes

Wedding photographer Kenny Kim posted a pair of photos on his blog this morning that illustrates beautifully how quickly wedding day weather can change. When you see the first image, you'll be instantly convinced that this Chicago couple was forced to move their wedding indoors. The lesson you can learn from these two images, taken 15 minutes apart, is this: If it rains (and hails!) on your outdoor wedding day (especially in the Midwest), your best strategy may be to simply wait.

Massachusetts Park to Host Outdoor Vow Renewal Ceremony

The rose garden in Beverly, Massachusetts' Lynch Park is a popular outdoor wedding venue, and on Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 2 until 5 p.m., the park will host a wedding vow renewal ceremony open to all married couples. There is no fee to participate in the vow renewal ceremony, which is being held to call attention to carriage house restoration efforts at the park, according to the Boston Globe, which has additional details. The celebration of vows will be followed by a wedding show in the carriage house featuring a variety of local vendors.

So, Massachusetts brides-to-be: Here is a great idea. Plan to take your parents and maybe even your fiancé's parents with you to Beverly on this September Saturday, and encourage them reaffirm their vows in this lovely setting. You'll create new and beautiful memories with the people who taught you both about love and maybe get some ideas for your own wedding celebration, too.

For more information, call the Beverly Recreation Department at 978-921-6067.
