Only in Minnesota

The Minnesota Bed & Breakfast Association shares the story of a couple who recently wed in an outdoor ceremony at Poplar Creek Guesthouse B&B. The outdoor temperature? Minus Five Degrees!

While I appreciate the bride and groom's desire for a memorable wedding celebration, it's important for couples to keep their guests' comfort in mind when planning an outdoor wedding. If you want to have an outdoor wedding in Minnesota, you should probably select a date in July, not January!

While the temperature was minus 5, the guests, from the comments I received, enjoyed the wedding and kept quite warm during the ceremony. Minnesotans know how to dress for the weather. You have got to love winter to live here!

You just can't win with Minnesota.. do the wedding in the winter when it's -5, or do it in the summer with 90 degree weather with 80% humidity... This August I'm having my wedding outside in a tent, and we are getting a 20 ton airconditioning unit for it!
